So. Anyone has any good Harry Potter fics to rec? No matter what timeline, what pairing, I'm open to all (although some D/Hr would be perfect). After two weeks of nothing but Harry Potter, I'm a little lost now with nothing to read. Also, link me to your reviews, will ya? I'm not quite willing to go back 52804578247509 pages of my friends' page.

As you most likely already know, we love you. Jensen loves you too. Would have written you a fic, but I'm kinda hitting a creative block lately. Sorry. But hey, Jensen loves you, that should be sufficient.

one; That was the first graphic I've made in a really long time. Guess Mr. Padawhack is what it takes to pull me out of my lazy Photoshop block. Heh.

two; Joining in the freak out, OMG DEATHLY HALLOWS. I'm kinda screwed though, since I'm still re-reading Goblet of Fire. I should really skip straight to Half Blood Prince, but I'm still stubbornly clinging on the thought that if I don't sleep, I should be able to finish everything by 7.01am, July 21. Why oh why didn't I start sooner? Okay, forget it, I''m moving on to Half Blood Prince.

three; I should write something about the end of Harry Potter, shouldn't ? (NO SPOILERS) Something about how it has changed my life completely and how it is most possibly the best piece of literature and adventure in this century? Uh well. It is quite something, I have to say. I have the utmost admiration for Ms. Rowling. The world that she has created is nothing short of amazing. From Hogwarts to Diagon Alley,  from Albus Dumbledore to Severus Snape, from Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans to Butterbeer, she has invented a universe so enthralling that you can't help being sucked in. (I remember back in Primary School, one guy insisted to a teacher that we should take the broomsticks from our classrooms and play Quidditch during our Physical Ed. lesson. It was hilarious.)

Not only is the story utterly captivating, her style of writing is potentially cynical and so sarcastic at times, which makes it fun and very entertaining. What amazes me the most, however, is how the stories have substance. It isn't singularly blunt action adventure. The underlying themes about friendship, courage, love, family, among others, ground the stories in realism even which in unbelievable settings.

Rowling is, perhaps, the only author that can write thousands of pages and still not lose her readers among the millions of words and chunks of sentences. Some may say she's overrated, but look at the status of Harry Potter now, 2 million copies pre-ordered on Amazon alone. It's a worldwide phenomenon, and The Boy Who Lived will definitely continue to live on. J.K Rowling, and Harry Potter, is beyond any rating.

I got a little carried away there. I should go back and read my Goblet of Fire Half Blood Prince Goblet Order of the Phoenix. Grr.

You hold me without touch.
You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much than to drown in your love,
And not feel your rain.

It was awful.

No, not the movie, but the entire cinema experience. First, there was some "technical difficulties" and we ended up waiting in the cinema listening to instrumental music for an hour. By then, about half of the people had left in frustration. It was about 9.30pm, people do have work tomorrow, and others have to catch the last train. I guess they couldn't wait, or couldn't care enough. That was bad enough, but when the screen came on, it was obvious they haven't worked out their "technical difficulties" yet. The screen was way too dark. No, it wasn't the movie's itself, I was sure. I had to squint my eyes at some many parts since a lot of scenes in the movie are already very dark. Awful, just awful. And with a half-filled cinema, it just wasn't cool. I could hear my own laughter during so many scenes. It wasn't a good or fun audience at all. This for an opening night. Pfft.

Bah. I'm still sick. Cough is just getting worse and I can't get to sleep for the past 3 nights 'cos I can't stop coughing. Just lying there breathing tickles my throat and sets off a bout of coughing. And some random muscles in my torso or chest or somewhere are hurting from the exertion. And it's that time of the month which makes it all that much worse. And I miss chocolate and ice cream and peanut butter.

two;
I need The Black Donnellys 1.03 download NOW.

three;

Autumn Reeser joins the cast of the CW's Untitled Tom Wheeler pilot that stars Ryan Devlin, revolving around a brainy graduate student (Devlin) and his pals who hone their talents by solving crimes.
YES!!!! The show sounds a little like Veronica Mars though, and Ryan Devlin plays Mercer in Veronica Mars, so, yeah. But Autumn pretty much seals the deal for me. Definitely gonna watch this.

Eliza Dushku has been cast in a main role in "Nurses," a soapy medical ensemble that also includes Sara Rue, Drew Sidora and Gregory Harrison.
I love you, Eliza, and I know you're trying to break out of the supernatural/action genre, but this doesn't sound too good. And TV Land doesn't really need another medical show. And also, before you break out of that genre, could you possibly do a little stint on Supernatural? I will love you forever.

Chris Lowell joins Kate Walsh, Taye Diggs, Tim Daly and Paul Adelstein in the potential "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff. Details of Lowell's part are being kept quiet.
So uh, if this works, Piz is gone? (Provided that Veronica Mars itself hangs on to another season.)

Alias' Merrin Dungey and Judging Amy's Amy Brenneman have also joined the cast of the Grey's Anatomy spin-off.
Girl power!

four;
I hate hiatus. There's nothing to watch. I think I need to start another new show, even though I have, like, 12. Any suggestions? (Shows I'm already watching are in my sidebar.) I've been thinking about Skins. Heard good stuff about it. Maybe Bones. Or I could start up Gilmore Girls again. I stopped after season 5. Or finish up that final season of Alias. Or The Dresden Files?

five;
Rachael Yamagata concert this weekend!!! I better not still be sick by then.

1. I am BACK!! *sighs* It has been a tough 3 weeks.

Well, technically, I was never really gone. I was still posting in random comms and lurking around my flist, not really commenting and trying to convince myself I am really on a hiatus and I am really studying. Dreading the day I get my results.

2. Thanks to all those who helped me out during past 3 weeks, with fanfic recs and music recs and updates and everything. Love!

3.
New layout and header! [personal profile] somersaulter [personal profile] somersaulter [personal profile] somersaulter

I have been itching to get a new layout and header for 3 weeks now. Still not completely satisfied with the header though. Initially wanted to make a multi-fandom one. Ended up just putting in one fandom. Guess which. Heh.

4. Season premieres everywhere! Grey's Anatomy is TODAY! One Tree Hill, Smallville and Supernatural next week!

5. In view of 7-more-days-to-SPN-premiere, I offer to you the song that the episode is named after, if you don't already have it. Not putting the song title here, just in case anyone is staying away from all spoilers (which is impossible actually). Anyway, it's a Led Zeppelin song. DOWNLOAD HERE.

6.
I just started watching Prison Break. (Yes, started in the midst of my exams. I know. I am a slacker.) Now mid-season one. Why didn't anyone tell me it's so gooood?! (Those who watch, please don't spoil me.)

I cut school yesterday to see X-Men 3! Don't worry, there's no school anyway. Our school won the soccer championship and people just went to school for assembly and was told by our principal that there would be a full day off and everyone was free to leave the school. I was smart enough to just sleep in.

And to those who are planning to catch it, stay for the credits. There's a short little scene after it. Enjoy!
