Finally. A proper repacked torrent. If this happens during the finale, I'm gonna throw a fit. Like a really big fit. Like an exploding Peter Petrelli kinda fit. Yeah.
1. I have an insane need to re-watch Nightshifter.
2. Green River. Fox River. Orange shirts. Blue shirts.
3. Break-in. Getting caught. And Sam's bitchface #1, the most important and the most frequently used. It says 'I hate my brother'.
4. Mug shots! Still Sam's bitchface #1. And Dean's Zoolander face! (Jared's favorite expression)
5. "You think you're funny." "I think I'm adorable." And well, he's right.
6. Henriksen's 'partner' is kinda stupid.
7. The whole sequence of them getting into their bunks. Very cool. And absolutely hilarious.
8. And of course Dean has to get into a fight protecting his little brother first day in. Wonder what they were like in high school.
9. Mara is totally on the boys' side.
10. Poker! "It's like picking low-hanging fruit."
11. "I've got a plan." "That's the Sammy I know. Come on man, you're like Clint Eastwood from Escape from Alcatraz."
12. "Considering the circumstances, I need a little more than 'pretty sure'." "Okay. Really pretty sure." HAHAHA. Oh Sammy.
13. Distractions? Crawling through pipes? So Prison Break.
14. Tiny. With the low self esteem issue. Uh-huh. And with Tiny's brother shooting his father, anyone got a flashback to Devil's Trap?
15. "Poor giant Tiny." What, I'm easily amused.
16. Ha. That poor girl has no chance against Dean Winchester.
17. Dude, I thought they were really fighting. Do they really have to fight about real stuff? And Deacon! Didn't see that one coming.
18. AH. METALLICAR. I have missed you so.
19. How much are you willing to bet it's a different cemetery? And duh, of course they're gonna get the spirit before she gets Deacon.
20. They're so much more screwed.
I'm glad to have a more serious tone back to the show. It was funny, yes, but not the kind of senseless funny that dominated the previous episode. Don't get me wrong, I throughly enjoyed that other episode, but it's comforting to have this kind of a balance back. I was genuinely spooked by the MOTW, especially in the opening scene. The atmosphere was very well crafted. And of course, there's the jokes and funny antics thrown in for good measure, but nothing too self-indulgent, definitely down a notch from last time. Scary and funny, that's what I love about this show.
Although this time, Sam walked around looking pissed at his brother or intimidated by the inmates. Doesn't that boy smile anymore? It's disturbing. Dean, on the other hand, was exceedingly cheerful about the entire thing. His constant pop culture references still rolled over my head half the time. That Nick Nolte thing? Is it really that funny? Okay, maybe a little.
I can't help thinking though, that Dean is simply putting on a front. His face was a mask of sadness when he was in solitary. Of course, I didn't expect him to jump around and laugh to himself in that dark space, and he did made a crack, but that face. It was so hauntingly troubled. (Or maybe I was just too used to seeing Dean grin like the Cheshire cat half the time.) The whole atmosphere in these latest two episodes is just kinda off. Dean making the dumbest cracks, shooting off pop culture references, and stuffing his face like there's no tomorrow (ooh). Sam walking around looking confused, bored, scared, or pissed (bitchface!), hardly cracking a smile. Almost feels like Dean is smiling for him.
I miss Sam's smile. I doubt we'll be seeing it in the next 3 episodes.
They are going to break me.

Beautiful, isn't he?

IS THIS NOT AN INNOCENT FACE? IS IT?

I honestly thought that Dean was going to say something like, "Yeah, I've had that happen before."
They're so much more screwed.

Agreed. It carried with it a bit of X-Files vibe and it was creepy for the first time in a long time. Kinda missed that.

I love his mug shot!
Dean was very much the happy boy in this one-but it could well be a mask. Sam wasn't really happy at all was he?
They are going to break me.

I have an insane need to re-watch Nightshifter. ~ That's exactly what I've been thinking.
And I totally agree with the whole Dean wearing a mask thing. I think he's so close to breaking, it's not going to take much. Between that and a lack of Sam's beautiful smile, the boys are going to break us all. Man, I can just imagine what we're all going to be like after the finale....

Love the caps! Jensen looks uber pretty.
