Supernatural 2.16 - Roadkill
1. ...and the
2. "The only time we ever really argue was when we were stuck in a car." "Yeah, I know how that feels." *Dean glares*
3. And the Metallicar fails for the first time. Poor baby.
4. "Hunting what?" "Ghosts." "...Don't sugarcoat it for her."
5. "Whoops." *shoots* GO DEAN.
6. "You know, just once, I'd like to round a corner and see a nice house."
7. The whole "unfinished business" talk between Sam and Molly was interesting. Sam came off very sad and sincere.
8. "Sam always get a little J.Love Hewitt when it comes to things like this."
9. BACKWARDS KICK FTW.
10. "We can't leave her like this." "Why not?" "'She deserves to be put to rest, Dean." *Dean grumbles*
11. Life after death. "We're all just scared of the unknown."
12. Dude. She's standing too close to the window.
13. Told ya.
14. "You're like a walking encyclopedia of weirdness." "Yeah, I know."
15. "Oh thank God." "Call me Dean."
16. "HURRY UP SAM."
17. "Oh baby, it's been a long night." *fangirls Dean/Impala*
18. OMGBIGTWIST.
19. "Hope is kinda the whole point."
I like this episode. It's scary and angsty. Granted it's not the brotherly angst, but it's still good angst. Not that angst is good, but well, you know. Well played-out angst. Tricia Helfer was good.
And the issue in Bloodlust is once again brought up here. While I was rewatching, I realize you could actually sense that Dean didn't really like Molly. (Remember Dean loves women. And Sam.) He made plenty of snide comments, disregarded her, and seemed to be careless about her well-being. After the scene where Greeley grabbed her and Dean shoots him in the face, Sam was the one who went to get her and asked if she was alright while Dean stared at where Greeley disappeared to. Turns out Dean just doesn't like ghosts, gorgeous lady ones or otherwise.
It's interesting to note that Sam is the one completely receptive to the "dark side". Granted he's more attracted to the shades of grey, but he's the one slanted to become evil, gotta be a little careful there. Shades of grey does include the darker shades. Not that I don't agree with that sensitive side of him. I actually adore that sensitive side. Jared's sad little eyes got to me so many times in this episode. Problem is, his sympathetic nature might be his Achilles' heel.
I guess at that point, it's up to Dean's hardened soul and practical head to bring him around.
Gosh, I had missed Supernatural. Thankfully there's another new episode next week!
Music from the episode:
The Animals - House of the Rising Sun
Did I mention this song was used in a weird fruit juice commercial here, so I now find this song funny and creepy at the same time.

I'm with you as well. I liked the episode and thought it really built on the themes of this season. Before the reveal at the end the boys behaviors did feel a bit off - but once we knew what Molly really was it was like 'Ohhhhhh, that explains it'. Nicely done IMO.
(no subject)
Yep. It was a really well done episode.

What about the Haley Joel Osment comment? lol Dean gave him a Sixth Sense Quote.lol I remember that. But I need to actually re-watch Supernatural. I didn't pay attention enough during the episode.lol

Oh I forgot about that while making the post. Heh. I laughed so hard when he said it. =D

I posted it too.lol I think you already commented.I can't remember.lol
cause I know two people commented it.:)

Sam was like..."Don't sugar coat it for her....." lol

13. Told ya.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that one coming. I keep yelling "Why aren't you standing near the boys, idiot!" because if that was me, I'd probably be on their heels the whole time.
Overall, this episode was pretty good. I did not expect that twist at all. Completely took me by surprise. I picked up on Dean not liking Molly, but I never really thought about why he didn't like her. I guess he just hates ghosts (obviously, I'd hate them, too).
The best line of the whole episode: "You're like a walking encyclopedia of weirdness." Definitely.

Definitely.

I definitely agree with what you said about Sam and the shades of grey. As he was saying about how the spirits who turn bad weren't bad people, you could sort of sense he was thinking about himself and his 'destiny'.
It was such a creepy episode, I actually jumped in my seat a few times!

Yeah, at first I thought he was just talking about himself, but then I realized he was saying that Molly wasn't evil herself. I guess it was a little of both as well.
Heh. Me too!

15. "Oh thank God." "Call me Dean."
Hee. Even though we know he doesn't particularly LIKE her, he just can't help that tiny tiny little bit of flirting. It just slips out of him. Oh, Dean.

LMAO, proabably my favorite moment in that ep, so cute.
12. Dude. She's standing too close to the window.
13. Told ya.
Hee, I was thinking that too. In fact I had already turned down the volume a bit just as to not wake my neighbors with sounds of shattering glass and squeeking women ^_^
Problem is, his sympathetic nature might be his Achilles' heel.
I really like your notion on this. Very observant!

Ah well, I was just trying to squeeze some meta out of the episode. =P

Is it just me or is Dean becoming more bitter? I was talking to my friend about it the other day and he hasn't really slept with someone, that we saw, since Cassie...so I think he might just need to get some ass in order to get better. Not on sarcasm anymore, but for him to not be sardonic. Vocab word, go me *dances*
Have I metioned I despise Cassie thoguh. Humph.

Now that you mentioned it, yeah, seems like it. I got a feeling it's just gonna get worse now. *sighs*
I despise Cassie too.
