Golden Globes Aftermath:
Watch Isaiah Washington bursting out "I did not call T.R a faggot" and Katherine Heigl defending T.R Knight.

KH: "I don't think [Washington] means it the way he comes off…But, T.R. is my best friend. I will throw down for that kid. I will beat you up. I will use every ounce of energy I have to take you down if you hurt his feelings."

I LOVE this girl. Did you guys see them onstage giggling to each other? So cute.
I thought things have quietened down, but after this incident, everything is being dug up again. And T.R Knight is going to be on Ellen's (or has he already?), and I saw a snippet where he said that Isaiah did use that word, now then makes IW not just a jerk, but a big fat lying one.

Wonder how Shonda Rimes is gonna deal with this. I did hear rumors about someone leaving the show, but if Burke gets killed off, it would be really bad on so many levels.

EDIT:

1. I can't swim or cycle or rollerblade. I did try to ice skate once.
2. I hate the smell of metals.
3. I haven't seen my dad's side of the family for about 8 years now.
4. I put a song on repeat when I'm reading a book.
5. I like to eat the layers of my burgers separately.
6. Chili pwns.
7. Grapefruit pwns too.
8. I'm a Draco/Hermione, but have no idea when or how I started. It just... happened.
9. I like to play with my split ends when I'm studying. Just fiddle with it. Break the strands. Not like I love my split ends. I just like to fiddle.
10. I hate people touching my stuff. All stuff, any stuff. Tends to get overprotective. I sound awfully selfish, don't I?

Tagging whoever.

Kristen looks gorgeous in the first pic.

I LOVE GRAPEFRUIT! And anything grapefruit- grapefruit juice, grapefruit mentos...

That's my favourite out of the entire shoot.

Really? Cool! Everyone around me hates it! Heh. I just finished my carton of grapefruit juice earlier. I have to go to the store to get more myself since my mom doesn't put it on her grocery list. She hates it. =p

Lol. The whole household hates it except for me and my dad, which is kind of a good thing since we get to have it all to ourselves! That stuff pwns.

The GA drama is bad =\ I would hate it if Burke wouldn't be on the show anymore, he is a very important character. It would suck. The stupid press will never let this go. *sigh* I hope KH doesn't get into trouble for saying those things. She did the right thing IMO.

KB is so pretty!

I hope so too. I have so much love for KH now. She didn't completely went over the top and she was as honest about it as she could be. It was sweet of her to say they're a big family and all. I bet she was just dying to rat out on IW.

But it would suck so bad if the show changes direction because of this. I think the media should just let it go.

I hope things will settle down soon. But I think it will take a while. It's everywhere, on all the entertainment sites... They keep bringing it up on Ohnotheydidnt. I will not be surprised if Burke ends up being killed off.

Oi. To be totally honest, the more I see the actual cast talking about it (the whole he said, she said in the press at the start didn't interest me in the slightest) the more of an impression I'm getting of Isiah as a jerk, and if he does go my opinions of it are going to come down entirely on whether or not it's done well story wise. Maybe I'm a little over sensitive on these kinds of issues, but the impression that I'm starting to get that they're trying to hush up that Isiah acted, briefly or otherwise and intentionally or otherwise, like a homophobic arse for PR reasons bothers me more than whether we get to keep a character in an rather decent sized ensemble cast. I think they've fumbled dealing with it, to be honest. An honest yes this happened, no it shouldn't have, yes it's being dealt with happening quickly would have gone a long way I think.

That's sort of the beginning and end of my opinions on the matter though. On a lighter note, you're right, it doesn't get much more adorable than Katherine Heigl. *pinches her cheeks*

Yeah. He came off as a complete jerk. But I still don't want him to leave the show because of this. IMHO, no matter how tastefully or brilliantly the story goes, it just wouldn't feel right to me. Everything would end on a bad note, and the show wouldn't really be the same. I'm not gonna defend him for being a homophobic ass, but truth is, I know more than a few homophobic people. It's not that uncommon. We can't really seek to change their opinion, but can only hope that they keep it to themselves. Hopefully IW has learnt his lesson in this aspect.

And yes, I agree the GA publicity screwed up with this one. IW should just admit it and apologize and we can all move on. We all know he so obviously did it. But now that wouldn't be possible, with the deep hole he had dug himself. Hm.

Okay. I have to take that back now. I just read the transcript of the Ellen DeGeneres' show airing today, and I think at this point, it would be difficult for the cast to continue this way. You're right, this thing is bigger than the show. It would be hypocritical to keep him. There is no way this thing is gonna resolve itself. =(

Yeah, I think it is bigger than the show. I might have a different opinion if it was, say, Supernatural because there's pretty much only two of them, but in a big ensemble like Grey's even my craziest inner fangirl can't find a way to justify it. It's a hurtful word, and I think it's now becoming quite evident that T.R. found it quite hurtful, and if it was that kind of word but for any number of other -ism issues, then people wouldn't be debating it. I don't know, I'm of the opinion that just because we can't necessarily change a homophobic person's opinions doesn't mean we have to let it slide, let them think that's it's ok and we'll turn a blind eye. It's not cool, and it shouldn't be swept under the rug, and the way that the show (in general) is trying to sweep it under the rug sends a really bad message I think.

I don't think Burke leaving is the only way this could be resolved. I think only the people actually working on the show could figure that out. It's entirely possible that if Isiah stepped up and took responsibility and acted like an adult about it, they could move on and forget about it. *shrug* It's hard to tell, really, just from a handful of cast interviews.

I only hope the cast and crew could work this whole thing out one way or another without any more casualties. Actually it's all on Isaiah's side. Like you said, I hope he would act like mature adult and try to resolve this, but if he continues to deny it... *shrugs* I really have no idea how all this is gonna go. Could go to both extremes.

I lovelovelove those pictures of Kristen. She can be so hot when she wants to be...and did you notice how awkwardly endearing Milo looks in a tux? hehe

I'm answering this here, just because some of your things actually are similar with me....'

1. I can't ice skate...I've tried for years but I just cant...and while I CAN rollerblade, I cant rollerskate. I cant swim well enough not to drown but thats about it.
2. I hate the sound of metal on metal.
3. I haven't seen my mom's side of the family for about 17 years now.
4. I put a cd on repeat when I'm reading a book...and then that cd whenever listened to reminds me of that book forever and vice versa.
5. I like eating with my hands...I will sit and pick through salad with my fingers sometimes...I do have table manners, but I'm too awkward most of the time to use them.
6. My mom makes awesome chilli, but my favourite was the stuff Tim Hortons used to make...now they changed it though and it tastes like crap and my soul is dead.
7. I hate grapefruit.
8. I'm also a Draco/Hermione, and also have no idea when or how I started. It indeed just... happened.
9. I pull out my eyelashes...it's a bad habit i've had since I was really little, kind of like biting your nails, which I also do.
10. I hate people touching my stuff without asking. Grabby people deserve to be slapped.

posted by [identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com at 03:54pm on 17/01/2007
Whoa. There's really some things that are really similar between us. About #4, with the reminding thing, it's exactly the same with me! But for the part where you hate grapefruit, how can you hate such an innocent little fruit? *grins* And you pull out eyelashes? Ouch. Isn't that painful?

posted by [identity profile] karmicunderpath.livejournal.com at 04:54pm on 17/01/2007
haha I dunno, there is just something about the taste of grapefruit that grosses me out. My best friend in highschool's family used to drink the stuff like water and I just couldn't understand the appeal. *shrugs* Then again, I didnt actually get into liking melons until this past year....aside from watermelons I used to detest them but now I find them delicious AND nutricious ;)

Nope, I actually do it to RELIEVE pain on my eye if you can believe that. I think it's a psycho-sematic thing that happens when I get really stressed out...right now I'm missing all my eye-lashes on both eyes from the outside to the middle of each eye...so I have half my lashes on each eye...you can't really tell unless I point it out cause I hide it with eyeliner but yeah...it's not a good habit and I'm trying to stop but it's difficult. The sad thing is when my lashes are fully grown they are really long and full and pretty. Ah well.

Yeah and I noticed Katherine Heigl standing next to T.R Knight.

I don't have a problem with what she said back stage or whatever at the Golden Globes. She just standing up for her friend.I thin it's good.

I know T.R Knight & KT Tunstall on Ellen today.:) weee!!

Hehe YAY Kristen Bell pictures.

I just read the transcript for the show later today, it's real life drama. =/

My sister heard the rumor that someone was going to die at the end of the season and I said it's going to be Dr Burke because of the incident that happened a while back IW and she said no, everything was squashed and under the bridge, but with what just happend I think I'm right, plus the fact that we dont know if Dr. Burke's hand is alright. If it's not then there wont be a Dr Burke anymore. Just my theory. I dont know how I would feel if he left. Right now I dont feel much for him. He is not my favorite charactor but I dont dislike him either.

I hope they can work it out also. My sister thinks it's going to be someone reocurring like maybe George's Dad. She doesnt think it will be a cast member.

I dont really get the whole Isaiah thing. Did he say something bad about T.R being gay or did people just assume he did? I dont get it :S

Lol I have no idea how to ride a bike and people always think thats weird. I have managed to survive till now not knowing how to ride one though so thats okay with me! I can swim but extremely slowly and not very well so that sucks if I suddenly find myself in the middle of an ocean or something ha.

posted by [identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com at 12:34pm on 18/01/2007
Well, first thing that happened was Patrick Dempsey got into a fight with Isaiah because Isaiah allegedly called T.R a bad name about being gay. No one denied or admitted it happened. And then during the recent Golden Globes, Isaiah denied it, but later T.R refuted that on the Ellen DeGeneres' show, saying that Isaiah did use that word. So. *shrugs*

Yeah, I'm doing fine not knowing how to ride too, so far there's no reason for me to start. Swimming is kinda more important though, I guess. Or we could just avoid getting dropped in the middle of the ocean. =D
