I go out to buy some groceries and 20 minutes later when I come back, the Twilight fandom has exploded all over again. This amuses me very much.

keep in mind these are preliminary promo shots. most times on films, they do character test shots, to try out hair, makeup and costumes and how they look on camera. This isn't necessarily how they will look when they start filming.

I do think they have done quite a good job with Nikki Reed. She looks completely different. Hair could be better, but it could be a lot worse too!

Jasper's hair needs to fixing FAST! It looks like a dead animal curled up there.

My biggest problem is Nikki Reed. IMO she is nowhere near Rosalie pretty - in attitude or natural beauty. In my head I always saw someone like Adrianne Palicki - but then again, I have seen her in the role since first reading TWL - really the ONLY role I had cast with little or no hesitation or question. The role just needs that statuesque presence someone like her brings to the table.

I brooded a bit when Edward was cast - but Patterson has grown on me and I admit that he can and does fit the part, I'm even anxious to see him do it. But having Reed play a bitchy bombshell she clearly really puts a damper on an otherwise exciting Cullen family. My only other objection at this time is Peter Facinelli's hair. They really should have kept him his natural brunette - regardless of what the role says. He is stunning as a brunette and just looks kinda wrong with a bad dye job. Same with the Jasper dude - plus he looks WAYYYY to young for Jasper. He looks like an infant - and isn't Jasper supposed to be like one of the oldest looking ones behind Carlisle and Esme?

I haven't read the replies to this post yet, but I always imagined Jasper looking/acting like Taylor Kitsch. Whats up with the puff jackets? since when did vampires need Canadian-esque clothing? next thing you'll know they'll be dressed in lumberjack gear.

Robert looks beyond gorgeous, and Edward like. When he was first cast, I didn't see him as Edward but I knew that with the right look he could be. Well, he definitely has the right look now!! I love it!!!
And Alice, Esme & Emmett all look perfect to me too. I love Alice's hair, just like imagined. Esme looks very warm and loving. And Emmett just look big, masculine, everything I imagined!!
Jasper's hair is out of control!!! It looks a bit, too much? I don't know, maybe it's just in these pics. Rosalie's hair looks like a wig. She kinda looks better, but still not as beautiful as Rosalie should have been. And as for Carlisle, he's okay I suppose?
