NO.

Robert Pattinson is really cute. But that's it. Edward is not cute. Edward is broody and beautiful and utterly irresistible.

eta; And watch the general ONTD population freak out. I love that comm. So many hours of amusement.

I'm really surprised they went with someone who's already associated with another major franchise. I mean...I don't even know how to react. I just hope he has chemistry with Kristen Stewart. If not, the movie is going to be majorly bad.

Yeah, I thought it would be something who was relatively unknown. Having it be someone from HP is just kinda messed up. I guess we just have to wait for the film to make our final judgment about this.

I've only read Twilight, and I didn't particularly like it, but as far as casting goes... I think he fits :/ There's another movie that Robert was in that I can't remember right now but he was in period clothing and very, very broody. I think he'd work :3

That dude looks nothing like the picture of Edward I have in my head while reading these books.

And he was in Harry Potter? That makes me giggle. Hopefully the fans won't crucify him before he gets on-set.

My gut reaction was pretty much like yours. But, I'm trying to reserve judgement because I have been surprised by these sort of things before.

I can actually maybe see him pulling off Edward okay, but I can't see Kristen Stewart or whoever that is playing Bella. I don't get that one.
