oh hi bella

What's this? What Twilight movie? No such thing. (denialdenial)

Okay, honestly, I don't know. I would have rather they not make any movie and just leave it be, but I guess that's impossible. Emily Browning was never really my Bella, I just accepted her the fandom's choice, so I wasn't too upset about her not being cast, but Kristen Stewart is also not quite my Bella. Still, I'm gonna wait till more news and pictures leak out before I completely freak out. Hey, she could be a good Bella, you never know.

Oh boy. Can't wait for the casting news for Edward Cullen.

Anyway, I'm still behind on comments. Random, no-longer-relevant replies for the win.

I'm still reading Twilight but I guess I was picturing Emily in my head coz I've seen the pics and graphics and I know who everyone wants in the role. I was watching some clips of Kristen and she looks like a good young actress-though for the part of Bella, I wonder if she'd be right.

As for Edward-Gaspard would be lovely coz he looks the part but I'm guessing they are looking at other actors. Did you hear the talk about Tom Sturidge?

However, no matter how little I've read of Jacob's part...I still want Steven Strait to play Jacob-at least in New Moon and Eclipse. Yeah totally biased Steven fan here.

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 10:47 am (UTC)(link)
I heard about Sturridge, but never really looked into it. As I said, what Twilight movie? =P

But anyway, if this is him,

Image

it could work. ;)

As for Jacob, I love Steven too, but yeah, he's too old to play Jake in Twilight, maybe the sequels, if they do make it. (horror!)

[identity profile] bluebear-74.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm I can see that working, could be a lot worst. I can't help but think os Gaspard as Edward, because he sure is pretty like the books.

[identity profile] princess-narnia.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm...there is that prettiness factor all right. ;) Guess the hair colour is what they need to work on. He's got serious eyes there... :o Everything else is pretty good too.
However, I am beginning to wonder ow well the book will work as a movie. Some stuff you just cannot do in a movie.

If they cast Steven I will wear my stupid grin on my face-love him. But I dunno what to expect with casting now.
LOL, they'll have to make it in a way that it doesn't come across as cheesy.

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:02 pm (UTC)(link)
My first thought was, he looks a little like Gaspard. Heh, so I guess it could work.

If they cast Steven, and then a shitty someone as Edward (which is very possible), I could potentially ship Bella/Jacob. Steven=♥ But at the same time, Steven is kinda unlikely too. =(

[identity profile] princess-narnia.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, well I think the main clash is gonna be that fans have already got ideas of who should play the parts.

LOL I have a feeling I'm gonna ship Bella/Jacob anyways (my Steven bias isn't helping) but I'm liking Jacob more.

Oh yeah a bad Edward will kinda kill the first movie. Steven not having a shot makes me sad...I just hope they consider it...at least for the sequels.

Course after that there's the casting of the supporting characters.

I'm not a huge fan of the whole Twiligth movie thing.
I've never really seen Kristen Stewart in anything, so I have no opinion about her playing Bella in the movie (that I really wish they didn't make)

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't seen her in anything too, so I can't say if she's a good actor either. But yes, I really wish there was no such thing as a Twillight movie.

[identity profile] frayedgray.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 11:08 am (UTC)(link)
Not relevant but erm, what buses in the Northeast go to VJC? You can email me instead if you'd rather: undefinitive@gmail.com

Thanks! Aiming for that so I really should get to know how to get there :D

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 12:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, no problem. If you're in the Sengkang/Punggol area, there's 43. It goes through some parts of Hougang and Serangoon as well. However, it's a really long ride, a little over an hour from Sengkang to VJ. I only take it if I'm too lazy to change buses or I wanna sleep through the whole ride.

Normally, I take 55, which stops at around the Hougang CC, and then I take another bus home. 55 takes about 20 to 25 minutes.

Hope that helps. Are the 'O's over yet?

[identity profile] frayedgray.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 12:07 pm (UTC)(link)
43 takes WAY TOO LONG. It loops one whole round before reaching Hougang Sec, which is really a straight route ): I can take 1.5-2 hours on that bus?!

Ooh okay as in opposite Hougang Mall? Or opposite Punggol Park? I'm not too sure what you're referring to. But that will cut down travelling time by ALOT.

Yep, today's my last paper :D

And thanks!

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm, it's near Hougang mall, two stops down. Near Serangoon JC.

Lucky you! Such a relief, isn't it?

[identity profile] frayedgray.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
...I don't have a direct bus there! ): Or do I?

Haha we've started celebrating after the main papers were over, it's so tiring

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm, what buses do you have access to?

[identity profile] frayedgray.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I realise I can take 55, if I walk a bit more, which is fine with me. Since Street Directory goes by nearest distance, I keep getting 43 instead but I've figured it out :D Thanks

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh that's good! It's a pretty short ride, very convenient.

[identity profile] frayedgray.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Nooo it's about a 20-30 minute ride there >.>

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. Considering it takes me 45 to 60 minutes to get home from VJ, your situation is not too bad.

[identity profile] frayedgray.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah it's probably about the same :P

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh well, you'll get used to it. =)

[identity profile] frayedgray.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha YES like my current school isn't far enough. Oh imagine if I'm aiming for ACSI, current location plus 20 minutes :O

[identity profile] bluebear-74.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 11:11 am (UTC)(link)
I knew the chances of Emaily playing Bella and Gaspard playing Edward weren't good but I still had hope. I can kind of see her pulling it off, I just hope I won't be disappointed with Edward.

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'm not too concerned about Bella, but Edward, oh Edward. Gaspard is my Edward. I can't see anyone else in that role, but it's highly unlikely we can get Gaspard. =(

[identity profile] bluebear-74.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
*Sigh* he's my prefect Edward, when they mention beautiful he's really the only person who comes to mine, well the only person who's an actor and not a model.

[identity profile] whitepalms.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 11:46 am (UTC)(link)
I actually think she might be a really good Bella! :D Especially when I look at these pictures: one, two & three!

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, thanks for the link! Found a lot more prettier pictures, and yeah, I can grow to like her. =)

[identity profile] berrymcgregor.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 12:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, do I understand you. The guys that were casted as Edward and Jacob are just horrible. They are NOT the characters I have in mind, and NOT the characters described in the book. It's just bad, so bad. Plus, there's no way the movie can render the beauty of the book. :(

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh you mean the castings for Edward and Jacob are out? Who?

[identity profile] berrymcgregor.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Well it's not sure yet if they will cast them, but Gaspard Ulliel was talked about as Edward (and god, NO!!!) and for Jacob it's Steven Strait. Nothing official yet, but both are just... NO. Nononononono.

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
No Gaspard or Steven for you? Really? I always thought there was no one else for Edward and Jacob (in the fandom, at least) except for these two. So who's your Edward and Jacob?

[identity profile] berrymcgregor.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
My Edward and Jacob are no one. I haven't found any actor who really made it for me, who matched the image of them I have in mind, and how Stephenie described them. I actually found a drawing of Edward that pretty much looks like my Edward, but that's all.

They're screwing with my book all over. :(

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh, you're not talking about the drawing in your icon, are you? Heh, just kidding. But do you have a link to that drawing? I would love to see it.

If it's any consolation, it's highly unlikely that Gaspard Ulliel or Steven Strait will be casted. Stephenie Meyer mentioned that Gaspard is too old, and so is Steven.

[identity profile] berrymcgregor.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. No, not tats drawing. *lol* But that's pretty much this!
http://twinklepug.livejournal.com/91634.html#cutid1
or
http://community.livejournal.com/twilight_book/370685.html#cutid1

Well I'm relieved that those two won't be casted, although I'm pretty sure the next actors won't do it for me either. :/

[identity profile] miss-fangirl.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 01:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree on you about EB not really my Bella, my Bella was kind of a combination of Emily and..Kristen....
It's Edward I'm most concerned about, I didn't picture Gaspard Ulliel but like Emily he does work...I hope someone points out the petition for him to be Edward...I'd rather him than some bozo that doesn't resemble Edward at all....*fingers crossed*

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
my Bella was kind of a combination of Emily and..Kristen....

I know what you mean. Heh.

I'm hoping for a good Edward too. Gaspard is probably unlikely, but please, someone not too shitty.

[identity profile] burstoflight.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Meh. Not sure how I feel about this...

[identity profile] somersaulter.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh well, it could have been worse.

[identity profile] alwaysavingme.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I NEVER pictured Emily Browning as bella. I don't see her as bella.

But honestly I don't mind Kristen Stewart being Bella.:P

[identity profile] princess-narnia.livejournal.com 2007-11-13 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)

I would have rather they not make any movie and just leave it be, but I guess that's impossible. ~ I still need to read this series. But, that's always the way it seems to go with an awesome book. It would be both a blessing and a curse to have it made into a movie. If that makes any sense.... : )
