I'm not too sure about the other version, but I'm sure the Commuter's version played on the show.

Actually.. I went online to search about the band and Appogee & Commuter are the same people. They started as Appogee with 2 guys, and also formed Commuter as well with some other folks.

At least that answered the question! :)
