golden globes + kb + meme

(more random-ness)

Golden Globes Aftermath:
Watch Isaiah Washington bursting out "I did not call T.R a faggot" and Katherine Heigl defending T.R Knight.

KH: "I don't think [Washington] means it the way he comes off…But, T.R. is my best friend. I will throw down for that kid. I will beat you up. I will use every ounce of energy I have to take you down if you hurt his feelings."

I LOVE this girl. Did you guys see them onstage giggling to each other? So cute.
I thought things have quietened down, but after this incident, everything is being dug up again. And T.R Knight is going to be on Ellen's (or has he already?), and I saw a snippet where he said that Isaiah did use that word, now then makes IW not just a jerk, but a big fat lying one.

Wonder how Shonda Rimes is gonna deal with this. I did hear rumors about someone leaving the show, but if Burke gets killed off, it would be really bad on so many levels.

Each player of this game starts off with ten weird things or habits or little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own ten weird things or habits or little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you must choose six people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks!

1. I can't swim or cycle or rollerblade. I did try to ice skate once.
2. I hate the smell of metals.
3. I haven't seen my dad's side of the family for about 8 years now.
4. I put a song on repeat when I'm reading a book.
5. I like to eat the layers of my burgers separately.
6. Chili pwns.
7. Grapefruit pwns too.
8. I'm a Draco/Hermione, but have no idea when or how I started. It just... happened.
9. I like to play with my split ends when I'm studying. Just fiddle with it. Break the strands. Not like I love my split ends. I just like to fiddle.
10. I hate people touching my stuff. All stuff, any stuff. Tends to get overprotective. I sound awfully selfish, don't I?

Tagging whoever.

Okay. I have to take that back now. I just read the transcript of the Ellen DeGeneres' show airing today, and I think at this point, it would be difficult for the cast to continue this way. You're right, this thing is bigger than the show. It would be hypocritical to keep him. There is no way this thing is gonna resolve itself. =(

Yeah, I think it is bigger than the show. I might have a different opinion if it was, say, Supernatural because there's pretty much only two of them, but in a big ensemble like Grey's even my craziest inner fangirl can't find a way to justify it. It's a hurtful word, and I think it's now becoming quite evident that T.R. found it quite hurtful, and if it was that kind of word but for any number of other -ism issues, then people wouldn't be debating it. I don't know, I'm of the opinion that just because we can't necessarily change a homophobic person's opinions doesn't mean we have to let it slide, let them think that's it's ok and we'll turn a blind eye. It's not cool, and it shouldn't be swept under the rug, and the way that the show (in general) is trying to sweep it under the rug sends a really bad message I think.

I don't think Burke leaving is the only way this could be resolved. I think only the people actually working on the show could figure that out. It's entirely possible that if Isiah stepped up and took responsibility and acted like an adult about it, they could move on and forget about it. *shrug* It's hard to tell, really, just from a handful of cast interviews.

I only hope the cast and crew could work this whole thing out one way or another without any more casualties. Actually it's all on Isaiah's side. Like you said, I hope he would act like mature adult and try to resolve this, but if he continues to deny it... *shrugs* I really have no idea how all this is gonna go. Could go to both extremes.
