I am depressed.

That episode depresses me. Yes, I am liking the new season. I like the fact that there is a new season. But it depresses me.

Veronica Mars 3.08 - Lord of the Pi's
(Okay, this is gonna be more of a general overview of the entire season)

1. Veronica just keeps getting 'smarter'. Or she thinks she's getting invincible after all her near-deaths. You know you got drugged or you're not feeling very good, you don't go to your car. 'Cos even if you get in without the crazy rapist catching up with you, you're going to die in a horrible car crash. And if you think someone is following you, you don't hang up the phone. And seriously, if you have just been attacked, you don't go to the dark places at night. You're not invincible, Veronica, you're just getting bitchier.

2. Anyone else noticed how V is always getting others into trouble and jumping to stupid (and wrong) conclusions all season?

3. Logan. Ah. Logan. Where do I begin? He's all tame and sweet, and worried about Veronica. And I love that. But I love snarky!Logan more. What happened to him? I do like him yelling at Veronica and trying to get her to see things his way. And the whole trying to change him thing. *sighs*

4. "Do you love me?" Long pause. "Yeah." Erm. What kind of an answer is that! (What kind of a question is that!) *sobs*

5. Veronica not picking up Logan's call. And him standing there watching her. *sobs* Is there no hope for LoVe?

6. Notice the cycle. They hook up. They break up (or have some huge argument). Then some life-and-death shit where Veronica nearly dies. They hook up again, all problems forgotten. Are we getting there again?

7. I don't get the rapes. At all. What the frak is going on? Who attacked V? And the rapes? What?

8. Dick was adorable. As always. He needs to be in every single episode. (A crazy thought just entered my mind. Dick/Veronica. Bwahahaha.)

9. Speaking of being in every single episode, where the frak is Mac? Or Parker? Or Piz? Well at least I remember seeing Parker and Piz. When was the last time we saw Mac? Last time I checked she was a series regular. *fumes* Well, at least she's in the next episode.

10. So... what's the big mystery for the next half of the season? Who's gonna die? *bounces* Well, there's many issues I have with the new season, but it's still one of the best shows around here, and I love it.

Although it still depresses me.

Oh, I'm a fellow VM fan. :) *waves* Relatively new though coz we have just finished season 1 and I think season 2 is due to start tonight! :D That is if the station plays nice and actually shows season 2 eps 1 today. ;)

Oh in season 1 I did feel so bad for Leo. I thought he was so lovely in that "take home to mom (or papa Mars) kinda way. Really cute too. *cough* Looks great in uniform. ;)
But Logan-I agree, I love him snarky. He cracks me up with those one liners. I think I just tend to like the feisty pairs...or the ones where the guy is utterly charming. :p

Lots happening in season 3, no? I didn't peek at the promo coz I think I'll sink my teeth into season 2 first and then spoil myself for season 3. But how's the pace going? Is it a tad slower than season 1?

Heh. Leo was great. I think we see him in one more episode in Season 2. =)

I guess in some ways Season 3 is slower, since the mystery itself isn't as intense as Lilly's murder. But on the other hand, the mystery is solved in 9 episodes, so I guess the pace is okay.

I miss snarky!Logan and all those one-liners. *pouts* But hey, we have Dick.

And oh, enjoy season 2! It's another great season. =)

I've bitched abt VM season 3 so many times that I lost count.

The first two seasons are definitely better. Weevil only appeared for two episodes. *sigh*

The problem is, I want to like this season. I want to fangirl bout VM the way I fangirl about SPN. But damnit. It's getting a little difficult. Hopefully the next episode and the next mystery will be really really good.

And well, Lilly's necklace was mentioned. Heh. I do really want them to bring up Lilly's murder again. I mean, it's not really something that gets forgotten so easily. Amanda Seyfried needs to come back. I like her.

Yeah. I mean, it was really fun in Season 2, when we were guessing like crazy who the killer is and stuff.

However, the mention of Lilly was just. oh, she gave the necklace to me.

I was sitting here at work stewing about how to even start to talk about this episode and then I read this. Honestly - right frakkin' there with ya'! So random comments to random numerical musings:

1. Word.

3. Completely agree. My favorite moment in the episode is when he treatened to tell Keith about the rapist being the one to juice her - which I'm shocked he didn't do while she was still frakked up - and her whining to him "You wouldn't dare". Oh, but wouldn't he. She is acting like a child a complete child and I want puppyLogan to step aside and let his inner snark out to play.

4. My heart cracked. Cracked I tell you.

5. The saddest site I have ever seen on the series to date, and honestly a testiment to Jason Dohrings acting. He was broken. She broke Logan. That bitch!

6. Honestly, I'm at a point now where I just wish he would hurt her for a change. She already treats him like he doesn't deserve either her gloriousness or her trust - maybe before the next round some of that should actually bite her in the ass.

8. Dick is awesomeness. Totally agree - we need much more Dick.

9. I miss Mac bunches as well. Not so much Piz. Still on the fence about Parker. But Mac, like Dick and Weevil we need to see with much, much more regularity.

Can we be depressed together? Hold me...

Whoa. Gotta say I agree. That would be refreshing. And I really would like to know what much Logan means to Veronica. It's obvious Logan loves Veronica much more than she does him. It's so sad. =(

And Piz was pretty redundant the whole season, except for his puppy love crush on Veronica, there's really no use for him. And Parker was there just to provide V with the motivation to solve the rape. Seriously. Why did they bother adding in these new characters when the old characters are getting so little screentime? *is disapproving*

I'm kinda glad she gets into trouble each time, 'cos that makes good TV. What matters is that she gets out alive, of course. I'm really looking forward to the next episode. Hopefully it'll blow me away and make me forget what a train wreck the whole season had been.

Hmm looking at your profile, I guess I found you either through autumnfades, or s2flexisquares, but I have no idea.

And what I meant about V is that she usually doesn't really get bruised/attacked/whatever, except for the finale. It's like the bad guy always decides to finally do something just in time for this episopde. I mean sure, it's tv so it's not real, but...why does she always have to be almost killed? So it's more intense and stuff, I know, but I mean they should try to find another way to intensify this. V doesn't always have to be the victim in the end. Heck, she might just decide to stop investigating, since it always ends up with her being the target.

But anyways, yeah, next episode looks pretty good in the previews. It better be!

I watch VM although this season there is so much that is pissing me off about it. I am not sure how much longer I will tune in.

1) Veronica is annoying me to no end this season. She isnt snarky anymore she is a flat out know it all bitch. I want the old VM back. Season one would be great.

2) yep.. well i think what really set me off about her was when she accused weevil the way she did. Aren't they supposed to be friends? She didn't even give him the benefit of the doubt.

3) Snarky logan needs to come back and give veronica a piece of his mind. they changed him way to much this season. I find myself not even liking him at all.

4) I honestly dont think she does anymore. Breaks my heart, but if them breaking up is what it takes to get old Logan back, Im all for it.

5) not looking like it.. with the rumors that piz was being brought in as her new love interest..I think piz is great to be honest, but I dont want him with v. I also dislike how they have him falling all over his words when he is around her. slightly annoying.

7) The rapes are confusing me too. from what I am understanding these girls faked them all to get the fraternity guys kicked off campus. the only one i know of that didnt fake it was that one chick. really annoying girl that is mac's roommate.

9) seriously I miss mac!!! where is she? I mean at least piz was in a pretty good amount of the episode last week. it looks like they are all going to be in it it next week though.

Im wondering who is going to die too. The promo looks really good. I just hope it is even half as good as it looks. rofl

Oh, hell. My TV station here is showing Season 1 episodes and watching those make me miss Season1!Logan and Season1!Veronica so so so much. =(

I hated the way she accused Weevil too. And practically everyone else. She is way too judgemental this season. She questions everyone like they're definitely guilty, like Fern in the last episode.

I have to agree. I don't like LoVe the way it is now. If a break is what it takes to get the characters back, I say go for it. If they're meant to be, they'll find each other.

But I think I'll be pretty upset if they go for Veronica/Piz. Piz is too innocent. Veronica is too dark and twisty. They don't match at all.

I really hope the next episode is good. It better be. Or I'll really stop watching. =P

*sighs* Tough love. But Season 3 is a decline from Season 1 and 2. I think the show has kinda lost its focus and its driving force, which is Lilly's death.

But I'm determined to enjoy this season, and hopefully next episode will give me reason to. =)

I used to be a hardcore vmars fan. But I've been trying to distance myself recently since I've been so disapointed with season 3. But even with all the flaws you mentioned (I agree with them for the most part), I thought the last episode was finally back up to Veronica Mars glory. The show is getting back to its dark and angsty self, and the mysteries are becoming more complicated. Now the biggest problem I have is the three mystery a season thing (which I think is a horrible idea), and the way they are handling Logan and Veronica's relationship.
