You said everything I wanted to say - but in a less rambly way. :)
This episode was great, save for the first half-hour or so. I was expecting more, though. It was werewolves, after all, but I guess the Sam/Madison portion of the show was more important that the actual werewolf. The last five minutes were the most heartbreaking minutes ever. My GOD. Sam with all the tears and then Dean with the lone tear (Jensen has that down to an art) and then with the shot and the flinch. There are just no words to express the awesomeness of all that anguish in those few scenes. I just want to take them both and squish them.
