no more mars

Veronica Mars axed.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

I know it's kinda expected, but I was still wildly optimistic. And Rob Thomas said he was gonna treat this finale as a season finale and not a series finale. So has it been filmed? Are they gonna reshoot? They have to reshoot. Take back all the random couples and give LoVe the happy ending. Or I will stab someone.

ETA: Oh well, at least it's not the last we see of Kristen Bell. Bell has lined up the title role in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," a feature romantic comedy set up at Universal.

ETA: WTF.

I just heard from Veronica mastermind and showrunner Rob Thomas, who tells me, "If we're cancelled, I certainly don't know about it."

Though Rob did not say anything further, inside sources at the CW have explained to me a more detailed version of the situation: According to network insiders, the CW has not officially canceled Veronica Mars. However, they are currently considering a different format for the fourth season. That format would leap four years into the future and focus on Veronica Mars as an FBI agent.

I hate that Kristin Veitch. This is like, what, the 10th time she had been wrong about something. She was the one who claimed reliable sources had that Jack was getting killed off Lost, which later turned out to be nowhere near the truth. Argh.

I can't take this up and down rollercoaster ride of emotions. And now FBI agent format? What? I can't... what?

I gotta say I'm not too upset. But I think that stems from the fact that I really didn't like the way the show was headed, and Rob Thomas was starting to really bug me. I'd rather Veronica Mars be remembered for it's first (and second) incredible seasons rather then this watered down, cookie-cutter thing the show has become.

It's also probably because I guessed this was coming, so I've been distancing myself from Veronica Mars and attaching myself wholeheartedly to the Black Donnelly's fandom.

I agree with you for the most part, but as I said, I was wildly optimistic throughout the season, a little numb and careless. I just kept thinking it could get better as the season goes. I guess now I'm just disappointed that the show ends on such a bad season. Hopefully the finale will be a good one.

Ah, The Black Donnellys. A very good fandom. =)

Ah, there has been an update (http://www.eonline.com/gossip/kristin/blog/index.jsp?uuid=75a31622-f0e6-4166-be21-798de6671716).

I have no idea what is going on.

Yeah, I hate Kristin like many of the other people I'm noticing today. lol. But I think having the show reformat would be better then continuing with college life. So far college has not been good to the show, and turning it into essentially a new show may give it the boost it needs. But only if logan is there.

That being said, I have no idea the OTH people had been thinking of doing that, so it would be kinda weird for two teen dramas to jump at the same time.
